Our Crisis Intervention professionals provide immediate response to defuse and resolve acute, stressful circumstances involving disturbed thoughts, behavior, mood, or social relationships that may threaten an individual’s health and well-being. Services are provided in Luzerne and Wyoming counties for children, adolescents, and adults.

The goals of Crisis Intervention are to address the individual’s immediate needs, while de-escalating the situation and preventing hospital admission whenever possible. Our professionals provide individuals with compassionate emotional support to make them feel safe and secure, while connecting them with an appropriate level of care.

Services include:

  • Evaluation by a crisis clinician (telephone assessment or in-person evaluation)
  • Rapid connection to appropriate treatment services
  • Psychiatric consultations
