Occupational Therapy
Occupational
Therapy
Children’s Service Center provides occupational therapy services to help individuals up to age 18 perform meaningful activities or “occupations” to improve daily functioning, independence, and quality of life with neurologic, developmental, and cognitive conditions. Occupational therapy addresses the related physical/behavioral/emotional challenges of:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder
- ADHD
- Developmental Delay
- Sensory Processing Disorder
- Feeding Concerns
- Cerebral Palsy
- Balance/Motor Coordination Disorders
Pediatric occupational therapy targets the child’s physical, developmental, and cognitive skills that are necessary to participate in these occupations. Areas of focus for children may include therapies designed to improve activities of daily living (ADLs), education, rest/sleep, play/leisure, and social participation.
